Treyarch has grown in the past years and has set many gaming records like most sales on the launch day with Black Ops II. The anticipation for Black Ops III is definitely growing especially now after the beta was released so people could get some early access to see what the new features are. On the 25th of this month Treyarch announced that the old gen consoles would not have a Campaign and paint shop capabilities, because of this the old gen price is lowered.
Now that you know that the old gen consoles will have less content and less price would you still buy it?

Zombies is the only good element in call of duty and black ops however I believe there is a stereotype of COD 4 being the best game only because it is older which is unfair to the new games because physically they are better in every way. It's just how checkers aged badly, the old Call of Duty Games have been aging like grandma's.

DeleteI think that COD 4 was actually one of the best in the series, but mostly because it set the precedent of all the new ones that make them all have good multiplayer with online capabilities. It was really just one of the original online shooters, and set a lot of new standards.

I'm sure people buy the games for the multiplayer capabilities and to play zombies, and that people could care less about the campaign part of the game so I would have to say that most people would buy it, and I would too since its at a reduced price than the normal game
ReplyDeleteYou can actually truly tell that no one cares about the campaign when the company literally copies the same exact ending of one game and puts it on another game and sells it for retail price.

ReplyDeleteI think that some people won't buy the game for older gen consoles now because of the fact there is no campaign mode. I think a large amount will still buy the game because in my mind a lot of people only play for the multiplayer aspect in the series. I feel the campaign isn't that great anymore in some games. Sales will probably still be good for the older gen.
ReplyDeleteAs the other people have already said, zombies is definitely the best thing Treyarch has contributed to Call of Duty, and frankly, it's the reason a lot of people are still buying them, including Black Ops III. I wasn't planning on buying it to begin with, and definitely won't on the last generation of consoles. I think if Treyarch made other games with some real originality, they could get back to their former glory, and make a great game.

I would also not buy call of duty unless I could buy a better version of zombies as its own game rather than the crap element to the game and I don't mean to be vulgar but it's all I can say.

ReplyDeleteYour question is making the assumption that everyone was previously planning on buying it. I don't have a console therefore i feel purchasing this game would be a poor decision for me to make.
ReplyDeleteI honestly enjoy COD,no matter which one I'm playing. Then again,I enjoy many games. Either way,I don't think that missing features is that big of a deal. I think I would probably still buy it,even if it was missing stuff.

ReplyDeleteI personally think call of duty should stop experimenting with the futuristic style of games because it seems like most fans are getting burned out on it. If Treyarch was to bring back a World War II style, or even a vietnam/WWI game, they would probably revive Call Of Duty and bring it back to its greatness that it once was. This would bring back a lot of fans as well. Black Ops III was not that fun when I played the beta, and the only reason I will be buying it is for the zombies. In order for treyarch to make great Call Of Duties again, they are going to need to stop basing their games off the future and give it some originality.

DeleteI agree. I really liked how it took place (for the majority) in Vietnam, but didn't like how it added the flashbacks in the game and I feel like it should have just stuck to a solid Vietnam war based campaign.

DeleteCOD series I think has been good when made by treyarch but COD has died off a bit even with new features being put in also the rise of competitive COD has seen its peak and is slowly falling especially since the past COD's have been terrible AW ghost and MW3 have been poor and what I think is the main reason why its lost its popularity I like COD and would love to see it do more to stay in the scene and also zombies was the best thing to come to the COD games to add variety in what you wanna play besides online and campaign

DeleteI think treyarch definitely made great cod games but recent there has been a decline in them they just seem like the exact same with only looks changed i believe the last good one treyarch made was black ops 1 and there best one was world at war ut i also think lowered price but less on the old gen is acceptable because it is lowered price and old gen is holding back the new gen because people want the same game on old gen console which may not have the capabilities to hand some new gen games.
